MISSION
The Cross-Border Cultural Heritage Network works for the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of the Lithuanian-Polish border region, bringing together organisations and individuals in an international network and participating in forums and advocacy networks to bring the voice of heritage to relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.
The activities of the Network have educational, cultural, promotional and scientific goals of international importance. It aims to support heritage management in the Lithuanian-Polish border area, in particular by sharing information on policies and modern solutions in this field.

The Network shall bring together organisations and professionals aiming to promote and strengthen the sharing of good practices, project development and professional cooperation with all those interested in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
PROMOTE
The Network promotes the value of borderland cultural heritage by generating public interest and encouraging community involvement in its conservation and protection.
PROTECT
The Network works closely with policy makers and relevant heritage stakeholder forums to share relevant information and recommendations that promote community engagement, sustainability, cultural preservation and heritage innovation. This includes finding creative ways to preserve and share the tangible and intangible elements of borderland heritage.m

Scope of activity
The network is a catalyst for initiatives and a forum for cooperation for the borderland heritage community, including institutions, professionals and individuals active in the field and looking for ways to improve their activities.
Facilitates cooperation between all stakeholders by stimulating their involvement in the flow of information and the development of joint projects
Observes policy developments in the field of cultural heritage and supports the adaptation of public authorities’ actions and the wide dissemination of good practices
Supports joint initiatives on the place of heritage in the knowledge society and the use of information technologies to stimulate interest in heritage
Promotes transnational exchange and sharing of experiences, education and dissemination of information, in particular through advocacy, discussions, publications, on-line products and participation in various events
Designs and implements actions to establish and develop a cross-border cultural heritage information system
Supports the creation of practical tools to facilitate information exchange and foster innovation in the field of cultural heritage;;
Acts as an initiator, animator and potential partner of projects in the field of protection, management and enhancement of cultural heritage.
Its activities are aimed at continuing and consolidating cross-border institutional cooperation initiated under the project No LT-PL-4R-284 “Cross-border heritage trails”, implemented under the Lithuania-Poland INTERREG VA Cooperation Programme.
